Penghu is the biggest island country city of Taiwan and it is formed with 90 islets. It betweens Taiwan and China. The weather is as same as Taiwan. There are two kinds of transportations you can choose: boat & air flight. For sea you can take boat from Chiayi and Kaohsiung port. The sea ticket fee around 1500-2000 NT dollars. For air you can take air plane from Taipei & Kaohsiung airport. The ticket fee around 3000-3500 NT dollars.
There are many kinds of transportation you can choose in Penghu. You can rental bicycle/car/motorcycle or take the public bus. Most of people rent motorcycle because it is very convenient and cheaper than car. Whether you rent car or motorcycle you need to pawn your driving license. The speed limited in Penghu is 60 kilometers you need to pay attention in your speed and remember to wear the seatbelts. Sometimes a few animals will appear on the road so don’t drive too fast.
Fireworks festival is a big event in Penghu start from 2003. This is the 9th year. Fireworks festival will hold on Rainbow Bridge during 4/25-6/30. Every Monday and Thursday will display fireworks for 15 minutes from 9:00-9:15 pm. It will combine a music concert. You can invite your family join this beautiful event.
