A Person Who Has Made Different in The World: Cheng Yen

Cheng Yen is a kind person, Buddhist, teacher, and philanthropist. She promotes charitable soul and minded society. Furthermore, "instructing the rich and saving the poor" is her motto. Later, Cheng Yen's charity, medicine, education, and culture missions developed, are considered decent and famous matters, and she is extremely unselfish. When she was 15 years old. She saw many poor people did not have enough money to see a doctor, and she deeply wanted to help them. When she 25 years old, she became a nun and lived in temple. She made a lot of handmade baby shoes to earn the money, and saved the money to help the poor people. She gave every nuns a saving box, and hope them to save 5 cents everyday in order to help people. After two month passed, the Tzu Chi Foundation was established, and it has become involved in international disaster relief. This foundation did not merely act in Taiwan. It participated in hundreds of international relief projects and activities. Taiwan often suffered many flood and typhoon every year. There are many places which were aided. Hence, Tzu Chi Foundation activated its function to help million of people.
Cheng Yen is close to seventy years old. She keeps spreading her spirit and thoughts by broadcasts and hundreds of activities every day. I respect for her attitude for the people and generous thoughts. Definitely, she has made the different a lot in the world.
