The Earthquake in New Zealand

Christchurch, New Zealand’s-second-biggest city, a historic tourist town, which is a popular city attractive overseas tourist visited every year. On 22nd Feb, a 6.3 strong earthquake struck at lunchtime, when streets and shops thronged with people and office were still occupied. It was the New Zealand’s most deadly natural disaster for 80 years. Trapped survivors could be heard shouting out to rescuers from the building. A strong earthquake killed at least 65 people in New Zealand.

All of the New Zealand’s army medical staff has been mobilized, while troops were helping with the rescue. Unfortunately, there are twelve Japanese students at the school were believed to be missing, it is fortunate that it had no reports of casualties among Taiwanese in areas affected by the earthquake.

Additionally, the Taiwan Government send a 23-member international rescue team with a variety of rescue equipment, including life and imaging detectors, as well as its own two sniffer dogs, would depart for New Zealand at midnight.
